Tyre Choice

Postby Teetwothousand » Sat May 14, 2016 4:11 pm

I shall need to be thinking about tyres soon - most popular seem to be Tourance and Annakees - does anyone have any thoughts or feedback on either of them or better alternatives please?

Thx in advance

Went with Tourance standards in the end. Bought from Tyreleader.co.uk and delivered in 3 days. Both manufactured late 2015 and transaction was as smooth as a very smooth thing.

After a lot of research I thought I would try to fit them myself - got the front off and halfway back on again then gave up and took it to my local garage. When you start to wonder if the tyre had been mislabelled and was actually 2" too small you know you are beaten :-). Although my local fitted the tyres they could not balance it so my static balancer came in handy after all.

A quick test ride and neither me nor any bits fell off so that's it for another few thousand. According to the service records the others had been on 9K so not bad considering they were squared rather than illegal.
