Damn Doris....

Postby farmerboy » Thu Feb 23, 2017 6:21 pm

Storm Doris has efficiently removed the roof from my big shed, ridge tiles off the house and about 40M of fencing is now recumbent on the lawn... gloom

My bikes are in the shed and have survived unscathed but a couple of new caravans have shards of roof debris embedded in them and numerous dents and dings....

Good news is the NFU have stepped up to the mark and agreed to pay up after just a phone call. Bless them!

They are expensive and I now regret all my complaints about my premiums!

No one hurt I hope, insurance pay out good news, but still an inconvenience clearing up the mess.

A little humour amidst adversity.

My mother's name is Doris, she has advanced dementia and leads the staff at her nursing home a merry dance. However the headlines proclaiming that 'Doris caused devastation nationwide' were just too hilarious to ignore!

Hope you get sorted soon.

Ian
