Hi george,It's not riding the BM thats the problem---It's moving it about when wheeling it backwards up the dropped kerb and back into my garage. If I ride it in--then I've got the problem getting it back out again.Although--DIANE,DIANE,can you give me a hand please?

HI
I dropped the R last week, got stuck between the Car and the garage wall but could not get off without risking crushing a pannier--I had to phone my wife who was only in the front garden but too far to hear me shout...............

My "inter-femoral nail was removed 9th of April,As I hobbled out of hospital with large bag and walking stick---The surgeon who had just performed the operation swiftly walked past me and said "That looks sore"! Didn't offer to carry my bag.Staples removed yesterday,so now I'm scrap metal free.Only got to get rid of Osteo necrosis,Buggered knee and buggered hip--then I'll be able to ride my BMW again(If I live long enough).

I can sympathise with your outlook on physio's.

I have that to look forward to yet ........ stitches out on 5th june,

and then a "little" physio to get the hands back working again and up to strength,

Had bilateral carpal tunnel release on the 21st ........ no problem with the scars and stitches so far

but my hands look like someone did a clog dance on em whilst I was sleeping ( the whole palms are black & blue )

Keep looking forward to being back on the bike.

Cheers

Hi
in the last batch, First was good, big improvement (Made me ride faster as well), Second not so good,, Third OK, Second again, hurt me for 10 days over Christmas, I know it's like wall papering and things get worse before better, but I gave up the "Deep massage" at that point and just had the heat treatment.

Since the removal of the Interfemoral nail(Scrap metal)I have had a marked improvement in my hip joint. The knee is still crap but I'm pushing on with excercises etcetera.Still riding the nasty V1agra.But still hope to ride my remaining R100Rt in the near future--I could ride it now,but am still unable to move it backwards into my garage.

I asked for the removed titanium(As I could find a use for it in the garage)But they refused to give it to me.

Well, some twenty five months since my skydiving injury I'm still using a walking stick, still (occasionally) riding the nasty V1agra.I've started to ride a mountain bike along local canal towpaths to try to improve my arthritic knee and hip.Although retired from my courier business(Matchless Couriers)I was asked last night by an old customer who was desperate for help with a delivery to Coventry this morning(He also had a flight to catch). What could I do? Well,I dragged out the hated V1agra and did it myself of course! It felt BLOODY GREAT to be working again--even if it was for free ! I'm getting the RT out to-morrow to fire it up,it hasn't been run for over a year,I'll blow the tyres up too, might even get on the saddle---I think that you can see where this is leading. Many thanks to all who have given me support ,encouragement and laughs over the last 25 months.KC.

Pin a poster of a nice open road to the outside of your garage for when you start the engine and sit on her, at least you can imagine a bit of a ride. Don't make brum brum sounds without the engine on though as the neighbours will give you a funny look!!!:grin::grin:

Now I am not riding for a while, twisted and torn the ligaments in my left ankle.
So am getting used to a pair of air cooled crutchs with no brakes.

[quote="george baker"]hi

Some years ago I scrounged a R100rt which had been left outside unused for nine years.I serviced it,fitted a new battery and PRESSED THE BUTTON-------It started immediately! I used the roughly four gallons of the four star petrol--No problem at all.Just as well, because I cannot afford to chuck it away.
