Well, some 35 months have passed since my accident and I'm sick of riding the bloody"V1agra" It passed its MOT yesterday and It's got to go! I'm going to take my RT in for test soon--As I've said before--No problem riding it,but moving it around to put it into position in my garage is a different matter.

Well,I've finally DONE IT ! Yep,got my leg over-and rode my BMW R100rt ! Even though the petrol is over three years old it started immediately once the carbs filled.A struggle pushing it in and out of my garage, but Diane stood alongside the bike"just in case".Might get it MOTd next week--After a good clean to get rid of a lot of dust.THEN----The nasty Yamaha V1agra's got to go ! Any offers? '97 XV535 4,000 miles nice condition for it's age.

Well it's been a L-O-N-G hard struggle,But I've MOTd and taxed my R100rt today! Great to ride it after suffering the nasty Yamaha V1agra for about two years. It started easily(of course)and I managed to manoeuvre backwards into my garage. So,It looks like the XV535 is going to be sold.Three owners,4,200 miles, lots of extras including rack and top-box with back rest.Near showroom condition(coz nobody rode the damn thing). Thanks to all for help and encouragement along the way.

Rode the BMW to Worcester today with Diane as pillion...Very painful on my hip,but good to be riding a proper bike.Sunday we're doing the Air Ambulance charity ride from Meole Brace to Cosford...Maybe three thousand bikes attending..Hope that it doesn't rain.If my hip continues to give me a lot of pain when riding I might have to consider surgery--The NHS seems reluctant to offer this-but it's not getting any better...Cant give up now can I?

We did the charity ride last Sunday,A bit painfull at first but it went well...Many,many bikes-perhaps four thousand---But NO coverage on the local television at all ! Have to decide this year about whether I'll be keeping the BMW long term...Reluctant to sell it but it's a challenge moving it about because of my health problem---I've also got a C90 with lecky start which isn't quite so heavy..

Well done on the ride K.C.! =D>

Four thousand bikes is a LOT of bikes!!!

Why no local TV coverage for such a large charitable event? That is disgraceful when so many people have given their time and money to attend and recognise good causes.

Stick with the BMW (R100RT?) a bit longer to see if your body can adapt or maybe try different methods of moving it about.

Hope it works out for you - all the best!

Well, tomorrow (2nd July) it will be four years since my accident...I CAN ride the BMW,It's pushing about which is difficult...Took it for its MOT yesterday-which it passed(of couse).Only done 400 plus miles since the last one...I am never going to be able to ride my G80 Matchless again as it requires kick starting,so once it's been MOT'd it's going to be sold-sadly.Less than 4,000 miles since construction around a brand new frame. It's registered as a 1963 model...
