Oooo he's an angry man!

Postby Oldbloke » Mon Dec 19, 2016 11:11 pm

Hi all

I'm considering buying a K100RT again to add to my F650 as it would be a little nicer for my wife when we're two up. In light of this I've been watching a few Chris Harris videos on YouTube to refresh my knowledge of the K series.

My word he's an angry man, no other mechanic in America can do the job right according to him. I am no shrinking violet and I know he knows his stuff, but his constant cursing puts me off watching with the sound on.

Shame really as I do learn a lot from the videos.

Ian

I think he's paid the price... have you seen his latest videos, under a different name. He is third the size. I wouldn't have known it was him unless I was told: https://youtu.be/CiRDn5hRSdQ
Still, his videos were very good.

Good grief what a change, I hope it is for positive reasons. Good to see he is still working on BMWs as he obviously loves them.

People like him are the reason I watch very few of the "reality" TV shows from the states. The constant swearing and shouting put me right off. Yes I do swear in RL but the yanks seem to go overboard when being filmed. I can just about stomach Philly throttle at the moment ( its new to me on quest).

He may his know his stuff. But his whole attitude and language makes me not watch him.

I like him - yes, I'd prefer that the language was a little more restrained - but he has been extremely generous in passing on his experience and his videos are a very useful resource to amateur mechanics such as myself who intend to embark on repair or maintenance work that we would otherwise be reluctant to even contemplate.
