How does it compare with your previous R1200GS Phil?
Lower, Lighter, more nimble for starters.

Only done 200 miles on it so far, but it feels a bit lower geared, so when run in, probably less top speed, but more low down poke (which will suit me)
Seat is on the hard side, so a 3rd party seat (at some point) might be aquired.

My 1200GS was always a handful when at car park speeds. Very top heavy. I only have 29" legs. The Urban G/S is much more manageable.

Hi Phil
that looks good
My 1200GS was always a handful when at car park speeds. Very top heavy
I have heard that before, usually after people have sold their GS

Yeah, much as I dislike the modern stuff I have to admit that it actually looks a nice bike.

That's a fine looking conveyance. Seems like it deals with all the issues that made me sell my 1200GS. Stick with my rough old '83 G/S thou (shall I go clean it?)

Hi
no Steve don't do that, you will ruin it's "original patina". What didn't you like about the 1200GS?
