My R65

Postby windmill john » Mon Aug 01, 2011 11:41 am

Here's mine
Spent more than it will sell for, but it runs great now.
Last weekend, fitted BMW high bars for more comfort.
Recently fitted S/H complete stainless exhaust system.
New fork seals and also gaitors for protection.
Fitted missing swing arm covers, Gear lever rubber, virtually all new carb inners.
New throtte cables, replacement headlamp, indicators and bracket; as it had an after market fairing fitted.
Rub n Buffed the engine.
New air filter, plugs, condensor etc.
Nonfango topbox
Probably other bits I've forgotten. Only had it a few months and runs nicely now

Best roads: 623 Burgos to Santander. A back road to Metz; can't remember which!
Schorsch 1978-80 R65 - bit of a Shetland pony; frisky and naughty.
Friedrich 1993 R80RT - a Percheron, but can still mix it with the rest.
