Hi George,

In a nutshell, the W650 is a classic bike in concept with a couple modern features, such as a front disc brake and electronic ignition.
It runs (at 50hp) and handles like a Meriden Triumph, brakes slightly better, doesn't leak anything and starts at first kick. Its engine is bulletproof. Think the T140 or A65 BSA/Triumph should have built but never did.

The W800 is slightly the same, except in an FI version and 100cc more. Personally I prefer the 650. FI is just not my thing.

I think people who are mitigated about the W650 expect a modern bike with contemporary performance and a classic flavor.
Disappointed, they want to improve braking, install wider tires, improve range etc... Well, they have the wrong bike, and the wrong expectations.

But if you get a W650 for what it is, it's the most pleasant, reliable, cute bike ever... \:D/

Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be glad to answer.

I would suggest you try to test ride one and get your own evaluation. There are plenty advertized, and probably one not far from you..
