R1100RT Top Box

Postby eastcoastfisher » Sun May 14, 2017 4:07 pm

I'm looking to replace the standard top box on my R1100RT with a larger one (preferably 2 helmet).

Does anybody know if any systems fit straight on to the plate fitted or will I need to make modifications

Thanks in advance, Paul

Only one I can think of off the top of my head is a Givi. Modifications to fit the E183 rack are minor.

The slant back rack is removed and a couple of rear support extensions screwed in to the auxiliary carrier. To this is attached a Givi baseplate which is horizontal and one of their boxes will take two lids.

This link has handy pictures of how to do so: http://wiki.snowulf.com/index.php/2000_ ... tall_Guide

I have a givi plate and fittings for an r1100rt. I've advertised it on here a couple of times. It's yours if you pay post and package or collect it. It's in its original box and I had it on my rt before I sold it.

Yes it's a monokey
I had a 52L box on my 1100 with no problems. It took two flip front helmets
