K100 16v RT + ST2

Postby PhilO » Mon Dec 07, 2015 12:46 am

Just thought I'd show fellow charioteers what's just come out of my shed.
A K100 16v RT... Not many of those about.
Good help from Motorworks, Wasp and Watsonian Squire.

Well I never! That's my old sidecar - the aluminium 'step' was put on so our daughter, aged seven at the time, could get in and out more easily and the Union Jack is from when we took it, on an R80/7, to Austria. It should still have two little restraining ties that I fitted to stop the screen from falling forward onto the front of the sidecar.
Enjoy your new outfit!

Hi Keith,
Well spotted. I hope to take the outfit back to Austria in 2017 so she'll know the way to go.
Thanks for keeping it in good nick.

Well well.
Keith recognises the chair, and I recognise the bike.
I've followed that "K" round Austria and the black forest on many occasions. (With its previous owner, of course)

Hi Keith,
Could these be your forks too?

Don't really know about that, the forks are less readily identifiable. I sold the sidecar, fittings, forks, rear shocks and tyres to a guy from the west riding (if I remember correctly) who wanted to put them on a /7 so he could take his dog out! Sometime afterwards, his whole outfit came up on eBay and was sold. The forks were Unit manufacture and specific to the ATE callipers and /7 stanchions so I don't think they would fit your bike.
