Hello to all

Postby brewster » Mon Nov 13, 2017 9:25 pm

Hello to all.
Just a few words to introduce myself. I am rebuilding a 1996 K1100lt which has taken me a couple of years so far. Complete strip down ,repaint , new parts etc. I have been working on and off for years on various bikes Triumph 900 triple, FJ 1100, Tengai 650 to name but a few. I love working and riding motorcycles. I did lands end to john o groats in 1995 which was fun on a DX 1100 Goldwing . This is the first BMW I have owned and I think setting it up might be a bit of a challenge but I'm hoping that with a little help from you guys I will get it sorted. The plan is to build the bike as an unfaired bike with a shortened rear end. I will post some pictures as to the progress.

Welcome to the forum from Gtr Manchester.

Looking forward to seeing the progression of the changes you intend to make to the "K".
There is a lot of knowledgeable people on here who can probably point you in the correct direction to set up the "K" to your liking

Ride safe and enjoy

welcome, where are you based?

Start a new thread in the K forum to track your build and tell us what you mean about a shortened "read end" (wheelbase or bodywork?
