Unfortunately, decision made, the ST will be for sale shortly.
That many muscle spasms in a seated position are incredibly painful, plus the loss of feeling in my right foot, and calf are making braking, and bike supporting, interesting to say the least.

Gave her her first rinse, snow foam, rinse, wash, rinse and dry towelling tonight, then went for a quick spin to get rid of the water from the brakes and all the 'nooks and crannies'

I pulled a fork tube out to see whether changing the seal would stop the oil leak. No, too many patches of chrome missing. I just put it all back together, wrapped a rag round the fork leg for now, need to order another Stanchion from somewhere. £80 for a used one from Motorworks. But I assume it will be 'as new' condition.

New clutch and throttle cables a few days ago. Doesn't 'feel' any different but with 49,000 miles on the clock it is peace of mind. One short throttle cable had broken strands, I found after removing it.

Bled the brakes on my K1200rs, removed two abs warning bulbs after the servoectomy, then washed the bike.

Love to George, but I'm having my ears and eyes done in the afternoon and a haircut in the morning, so that kinda fills the day.

cheers

Today I have mainly been playing with my brake disc bobbins.

My front brake seemed sort of grabby at low speeds, so I had a nose today, and found all my bobbins pretty tight, maybe half were solid. I did the old nut and bolt trick, using my little battery impact driver, and some carb cleaner, and all is good now. Brakes feel smoother and more firm.

Cleaned and re-greased the front wheel bearings. Fitted new pads and adjusted the ATE swinging calipers. Tidied up the wiring for the Neutral switch and oil pressure switch including new spade connectors and heat shrink. Was going to remove the side stand ( I'm ordering a Surefoot) but it started to rain and I had to take my Fazer for its MOT (passed btw).

Not today, having a day off.
Yesterday I took the old girl out for a pleasant run through the Lake District. Down the A595 towards Millom then along to Haverthwaite to have a brew and look at some steam trains.
Back on board and off up to Windermere from Newby Bridge then on to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal, Grassmere and Thirlmere. Back home along the A66 and A5086.
Nice day out, nice weather, not too much traffic or too many tourists and best of all, no one tied to kill me. All round good day.

Balanced the carb's on my 100RT. The other day I noticed that one carb was lagging behind the other. When in idle mod it was a bit uneven and when I applied a bit of 'umph' there was a slight delay before the power picked up. Now she ticks over evenly and the 'umph' comes in smoothly.

186 miles yesterday as a Marshall for the Notts and Lincs air ambulance. Great day out for a very good cause. Approx 200 bikers and 40 plus marshalls.
