Postby george baker » Mon Mar 13, 2017 11:52 am

Hi
following on from another thread how about posting where we like to go for coffee. lunch, chats etc

Edit to get the right road number
Nick told me about a place on the A59 last week between Skipton and Clitheroe,

Me & Bryce sometimes go to J&S at Northwich

Bryce likes a place in Wales that sells Bison Burgers

South Lancs group meet at Winfields

Think you will struggle to find Skipton or Clitheroe on the A58

Maybe that's why some of the meets are a bit lonely. :-k

Sorry George couldn't resist.

The Pantry Cafe at West Marton on the A59 near Skipton is good. Me and Glenn (Teetwothousand) tried it last year and the food was very good. It's not very big though.

I used to like the cafe at the Leeds Amoury and the Birmingham motor museum and the coventry motor museum and the cafe at the Donnington museum used to do a fantatastic fry up on a Sunday morning. Mallory park motorbike race track Leicester has a great cafe opposite. The Salt box at Nottingham and if I was not at the Donnington cafe of a sunday morning clogging up my arteries I would probably be at the super sausage cafe near Jacks hill cafe.

H Cafe at Dorchester just outside Oxford is good. As is Loomies on the A272 not far from Winchester or, if you prefer somewhere just a little quieter with a slightly more 'mature' clientele, then try The Departure Lounge on Basingstoke Road, Alton

The Yondermann near Monsell Head in the Peak District and nearby Grindleford Station Café does the world's best chip butty.

Hi
I've been there but not sure what it is called, no bison any day I have been there so can not say if it has horns or hoofs

The Bison Grill at Rhug near Corwen.

We went there a few years ago but didn't have burgers.

The Layby greasy spoon at the Scotch Corner end of the A66 used to do a reasonable bacon butty. Called in there numerous times over the years when travelling home on leave from HM Forces duty etc. Can't say what it's like these days as I haven't been that way for a few years.
