Re: Tank Museum 2018
Hi
this is now in the club calendar, on Friday 27th July 2018.
I plan to go to this meet up and stop on a nearby campsite in Weymouth. Club members are free to join me for a meal/drink the night before and then ride over to the museum for breakfast.
The Nothe Fort meet is the next day.

Re: Tank Museum 2018
Hi
I have been told The cafe at the Tank museum only opens at 10:00 am, but hot food is only available from 11:30 am.
since This is a bit late for first breakfast.
So it has been suggested that we go to the Moreton Tea Rooms for First breakfast
http://www.moretontearooms.co.uk/content/
It opens at 10:00 am and has Lawrence memorabilia. It is also close to Lawrence's grave. A bit of memorabilia and a grave visit will set the scene nicely for visiting his place of work. We can have Second breakfast or Elevenses there if needed
BTW many would say Lawrence is the reason we wear helmets

Hi George,
I'm hoping to make it my first club event too :) probably met you for the breakfast and go from there - it's a quick 70 miles from me.

Re: Tank Museum 2018
Hi,
There's a Camping and Caravanning Club site at Moreton which is open to non members and has the added bonus of
a pub (that does meals) right next to the entrance!
C&CC sites are always good in my opinion.

I like the sound of Nick's suggested camp site at Moreton.

So I will go there on the Friday afternoon.
