A good turnout for our last scheduled lunch in Yorkshire meeting of the year.

Six of us turned up :-
Me (P-K)
Peter (peterbrindle)
Colin (Rugbycoach)
Alan (Aladin1)
Keith (keiththeoutfitter1)
Glenn (Teetwothousand)

Scarborough was fine, blue sky, but quite cool.
If anyone fancies an impromptu meet up on some other Tuesday, pop a note on the "Any one want to join me" forum.

Good to meet/see everyone again. Alan and myself made it to Seaways about 3 seconds after the heavens opened. A cup of tea and a piece of excellent apple pie did nothing for the rain and so we had to man up and face it. The journey back was a combination of raining, p@@sing down and full on hose pipe and when I got home I knew for sure my gear is not waterproof at all. The rubber gloves worked but I was wet at the cuff and up my sleeves plus I had the usual 'wet myself' look in the trouser department. My jacket largely worked but weighed like lead from the outer soaking.

My conclusion is that I will in future get and carry an oversuit for the rain...on reading up on waterproofing it does seem as if no 'do everything' gear really works.

I went up the coast to Whitby, then across the moors road to Guisborough.
Hit the rain at Scaling Dam.
Then wet all the way home.

I seem to have done better than most - only had rain for the last five miles.
Good to see everyone again. Can't make Hawes today but hope to get some more miles in before SORN at the end of the month and the MZ is pressed into service again.

Hi Mike,
yes, thanks, it is improving but still lets me know if I overdo it. THe physio said it will take time to recover fully.
Hope to see you at a meeting next year.
All the best,
