Hi
it is about 3 hours from where you live
Are you on medication George ?

It's 202 miles door to door. I can get 160 miles out of my 21 litre tank at my pace (80-90 probably = 45-50 av. ) with only 5 gears, without running out. So, with a stop, that equates to about 5 hours on a good run with minimum traffic and pillion interference, and no, I don't want to borrow your Chinook, don't get me wrong, nice as that would be  , I want to ride there, but thanx all the same

We'll meet up another time Mate :bounce:

Washing up liquid is already there

My vote would be pub for sat night and yes a booking would be wise - also happy to eat in/get bloody big Chinese if others prefer but my tendency is toward laziness

I am going to be really helpful, I'm easy for Saturday.

Will also bring a few essentials mostly containing alcohol.

Hope your hand improves quickly George

I think George should make us all a 3 course dinner served on a silver platter whilst wearing a tutu, top hat and tails.

or... go to the pub.

I think we should roast a pig over an open fire, drink loads of alcohol, smoke loads of marijuana and act like proper tough bikers!................

Hi
hold on, I could make you one but I am not wearing a TuTu

Anyone know the name/ number of the pub?

EDIT
Bill said the site can do meals, I will ask bedore booking the pub but will need confirmation for the site so wont get carried away with booking for a day or so.

no sign of a booking form from any farmers.

Did a little ride today just to test the hand, it sort of works but even after a dozen miles it is a bit tender.

I'm OK with the pub grub, the site grub , a (bloody big) takeaway or a BBQ as long as I get to have some beer or wine with it.

George, I certainly have no prejudice against cider, gin or port it's just that as I've gotten older I usually stick to just beer and /or wine with my meals. If you wish to offer me cider, gin or port I will not offend you by refusing a tipple.
Saturday food on site is fine with me.

I'm writing this from Dingle, the furthest point of this year's 2x1 Club Spring Ride. I'd hoped to be able to divert via Llanbister on my return to join you on Friday night, but a job I tried unsuccessfully to move to before I left means that I have to be just north of Hastings at 1000 on Saturday, so it wouldn't have worked. I hope you all enjoy my home village as much as I did for two decades!

Hi playmates,

Who is meeting who, and where and at what time.

The ponderosa cafe was mentioned as a meeting point on Friday 19th. How about between 12:30 and 13:30 for starters.

Any other suggestions greatly received.

Looks like other plans have been made, so ignore the above post.

However it does look like we will be stopping off at the Ponderosa around 2PM for a coffee on the way down.

Hope I got it right this time.

Hi
I'm going to Chester for noon, then probably Rhug for a burger

I have a little bottle each, of vinegar, oil, salt and washing up liquid, I did think of puting them all in the same bottle but could not find one the right size.

There is no room left in my luggage so I will probably go to the site, ETA 3.30, drop my stuff off and then go and get CLUB Tea, Coffee, Milk and Sugar. And food for my tea with maybe something to put in a glass

I would like to go to the Ponderosa but I think 2pm is pushing it for me as I can't set off til about 12.30 so I think I'll take a direct route and stop at a layby cafe. Anybody recommend one?

Hi Alan,
Probably a good idea so as not to pressure yourself. See you at the lodge later on.

Bike is loaded and fueled up and the weather looks good! I shall be at the Ponderosa cafe (nr Llangolen) at about 2.00 pm. I believe it is the national Versys meet not far from Radnor this weekend so we may see a lot of bikes about!
