Weather permitting I shall be attending.
ps - the road from Ribblehead viaduct to Hawes is a cracker and well worth a diversion to ride it!

I used to race a 175 in trailcrss events. Brilliant little bike.
I'll be passing through Hawes tomorrow Thursday after a three day ride out taking in the lakes.
I'm staying in a B and B in Alston, the Lowbyer and thoroughly recommend it. Single rooms at £45 and £55. Lovely breakfast and room to park the bikes.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm going to have a go at coming to the meet.
Looking forward to the ride, haven't had a long ride in a while, now I'll be riding my K1200rs which had a leaking radiator on Friday, so if my temporary repair gives out I'll have to turn back home, so here's hoping!
Regards
Keith

The weather improved the further north and it was lovely riding from Settle to Hawes via Ribblehead with millions of walkers about and more than enough speed camera traps! I met Alan and Glenn at the garage in Settle and we made our way to Hawes to meet up with Tango, Boxercup (John?) and his delightful girlfriend who was brave enough to ride pillion! Ruralman - Keith (?) had traveled all the way from Scotland with a patched up radiator and wins the longest ride trophy.
Best dressed trophy goes to Aladin, nicest bike award to Boxercup and a special award for bravery goes to Caroline??? So nice to have some female company and we were all on our best ever behaviour.
Looking forward to the trip to Wales!

Especially well done Keith [Ruralman] for making the long trip!

It was a scaffolding day for me unfortunately

Now then

Had a good ride up to Hawes today for the BM Bikes Meet. Carolyn's first time on the BCR and it went well to the Penny Garth Cafe, no issues
As we got off the bike, Glenn, John, Marty and Alan appeared, perfect timing introductions were made and we all went inside for a coffee. Carolyn and I had some soup and a roll and Keith was already inside. We chatted and talked bollox, as you do at bike meets and carried on outside until it was deemed time to go. Glenn headed back to Thirsk and the three amigo's headed off to their own homesteads. We decided to accompany Keith up north as far as the A68 and so we took him past the infamous Simonstone Hall Hotel and over Buttertubs. Reeth, Richmond and Gilling West were dispatched without incident and in the dry if a little cool. We stopped at Barnard Castle and fell into Clarendons Cafe which was loverlee. We rode the 11 miles to West Auckland and said our goodbyes to Keith and wished him a good journey home up the A68.
It was great to meet everybody, Glenn I already know but all you guys were very friendly and funny too
Carolyn says "You were most excellent company and thank you for the hugs and kisses".
Till the next one

Yay! Had a great day out at the Pennygarth Cafe Hawes.
I was concerned that my bike might not make it but she performed brilliantly!
There was indeed 7 BM Riders in attendance:-
Boxercup (John)
Carolyn
Tango (Mark)
Aladin1 (Alan)
Farmerboy (John)
T2000 (Glen)
Ruralman (Keith)

ImageImageImageImage

Had a great chat with the Guys and Gals then Boxercup (John), Carolyn and I headed off towards Barnard Castle where we had tea and coffee then headed towards the A68 where we parted company as I headed North to East Lothian and Boxercup and Carolyn headed to Thirsk.
Beautiful scenery on this ride today especially on the ride from Hawes towards Barnard Castle!
I'm really proud of my 2004 K1200rsp she made the journey even with a temporary repair on the radiator.
