Mmm - I tried that on the original photo but it didn't seem to work - the photo shows normal orientation in Paint and Photo Gallery but seems to rotate 90 deg when uploaded to the forum. The 'Neolithic Monument' pic I uploaded later went through OK with no problems and it was resized like the original.

I have to resize all my iPhone photos I have taken as they are hi-res photos of around 3 Mb size. Can't seem to get the iPhone to just take small 200 Kb photos to save resizing and the hi-res photos would rapidly fill up my hard drive.

Thanks for your help Rae!

LATER EDIT: I copied the original pic from the forum post, loaded it into Paint and it came up 90 deg rotated as in the post. I rotated it 90 deg and uploaded it into the Test Forum where it displayed normally. Looks like some bug in the original pic causing a rotation when uploaded to the Forum - I don't know - I really don't know - this is beyond me - I'm going to have a beer - maybe two - I never had problems like this with my Kodak Brownie box camera......

I'm not very familiar with the Iphone however most smatphones have the facility to reduce the quality/size of photos, just delve further into the camera settings Ced

The iPhone 4S picture resolution is a fixed size on the front and rear cameras and cannot be adjusted.
I have taken to using Photo Gallery to import the photos from the iPhone, resize them when downloaded and then delete the original hi-res photos.

Messy - and I seem to get orientation problems sometimes when posting the resized photos to the forum.

Apple don't always get it right!

Well... maybe not as exciting as some but the scenery is stunning in the Yorkshire Dales!
