Re: Jt's N. Yorks Rideout May 2018

Thank you all for your comments, 192 views and not one comment

I don't expect any awards for my write ups but an acknowledgement from fellow bikers on a personal biking story would've been nice.

I won't bother posting my TT weekend road trip

I took the S1000R - now known as ViPeR, to get some miles on her seen as I've booked first service for this thur...

Re: Confrontational posts

It is good to see from folks comments that ths place is appreciated and enjoyed (kind of makes the effort worthwhile) but occasionally a little policing is needed to keep the place friendly when one guy appears to threaten that atmosphere. The team of Mods are always alert to anything that threaten...

Re: Anyone tried these

A Mate of mine has had one for a couple of years now and is very happy with the whole helmet including the in-helmet rear view. It is a bit noisy at times but with the full unrestricted rear view he's happy to put up with that. He doesn't use ear plugs by the way  so that would be easily sorte...

Now then

I've done many trips in Europe by bike and a few by car, its brilliant abroad and I would usually book my crossing but without booking accommodation and stop where and when I / we fancy. First time is daunting but once you've been you'll be fine. Enjoy

Re: recomended insurance companies

If you go abroad, then Carole Nash. Part of your premium covers overseas, but if you don't go, then possibly wasted money.
I've dealt with their claims dept. too, in a no fault claim; very good.

John

+1 for Carole Nash

Laps are 25 euros Mon - Fri and 30 euros Sat and Sun. The more laps you buy at once the cheaper it works out and they don't run out now, you used to have to use them by Dec 31st of that calendar year but now they are everlasting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4_1bRLDWCo&t=294s Me coming out of Br...

Had a great fun weekend. Did a lap each in Gavins van Sat morning to see where the damp patches were and a biker was down and motionless so the track got shut for an hour, hope he was ok. Track finally opened again for bikes mid afternoon and we got out in the dry and with some sun. The track got sh...

A rinse, soaking with snow foam, rinse, then a wash with car shampoo, rinse and then a dry towelling off.
