Delkevic do pipes from 96db to 106db...think this one that I got is the loudest one that's listed as uk legal at 98-100db. Silencers come in round, oval, tri-oval, short or long and in stainless, carbon etc. Worth a look... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-R1100-1150RT-1993-2005-350mm-STAINLESS-ROAD-LEGAL-SIL...

Harley buyers are an intensively conservative crowd. This was an ex sales manger of a Harley dealer who told me this. The V Rod was the best performing motorcycle Harley ever made, but only sold in small numbers because the average Harley rider could not get their head around a Harley with a water ...

got a letter from her insurance company today saying they are very sorry that one of their customers damaged my vehicle and asking what they can do to help speed up the process of getting things resolved.
I wonder if my insurance has told them what I do for a living 😂😂

my policy always includes a self repair clause...I get paid for parts and labour and then decide what to spend it on myself...I never allow your average shop numpty to touch one of my vehicles☺

Re: R1100RS project...

that buyback is a weird idea though...£700 less after a year and only 3000 miles allowed. Would expect to get almost the full amount back from it after so few miles and a year of owning it, if it was still in the same condition as when sold.

sounds about right...quickshifters usually interrupt the sparks or fuel to unload the gearbox so in effect they do stop the engine for a brief time ☺

Re: Changing Fork Oil

drain plugs are fine if the oil is changed regularly (as in every year or two)...not so much sludge in there then.
Complete disassembly is recommended if it's been in there for a decade or more as the seals and bushings can be checked and everything cleaned properly.
