Re: TDC or OT valve position
Hi John,Have you ever strobed the ignition because if that flywheel is not fitted correctly the marks would not line up either.
John

Re: TDC or OT valve position
Hi guys,
Is it possible that a previous owner has replaced the fly wheel so that the ot Mark is in the wrong position ?, as when the OT mark is in the window the pistons are half way up the bore and neither are at the top.
Thanks

Re: TDC or OT valve position
Thanks for the reply, so if one cylinder is on compression does that mean the other is ready for adjustment ? I'm getting clearance on the inlets first one then the other but no clearance on the exhaust valves, I'm trying to make sure I'm doing it right before I take the heads off check the exhaust ...

TDC or OT valve position
Sorry to ask this basic question but it's been a very long time since I've done a full service on a airhead. Am I correct in thinking that when the OT mark is in the viewing window one or the other cylinder must be on compression and the other is ready for adjustment ? I've been manually turning the...

Thanks both, it's been a while and I couldn't ever remember fitting a shim on previous monos, so was seeking a bit of reassurance !

Quick oil filter question.
I've just changed the oil filter on my R80 RT mono using a mahle OX37D filter kit, the filter kit included a shim , when I removed the existing OX37D filter there was no shim fitted so I followed suit and put a new white o ring and filter in without the shim in other words put it back as it was. Que...

Hi Skiprat,
Milliput is worth considering for repairs that are not on the painted side.

Anyone who carries a phone might as well be carrying an ID card as a phone is much more traceable and has much more information about you .
But weirdly no one wants to give up their phone !

That's fine if the individual is the only person to pay the price for their choice, which can't be the case with a virus.

Re: Classic car MOT test changes will make historic vehicles 'more usable' and 'safer'
Looks like I may be a guinea pig - I recently bought a ‘P43t Ultimate H4’ LED from Classic Dynamo and Regulator Conversions for my R100R. Total price £70 delivered. Claimed to be a direct swap for the H4 and fits straight into the headlamp. Runs at 1.2A. Seems to have a good main beam / dip beam pa...
