Re: 2 Lancasters Flying

It Looks as if both flying Lancaster's will be joining Just Jane at East Kirkby in early September. Unfortunately it is already a sell out event, so I'll have to keep an eye on the internet/TV for coverage.

Re: F800s vs F800ST

From memory of the last time I sat on and rode an F800, the ST had higher handlebars as well. Not much but makes it a bit more comfortable.

Re: Bike Washing - Why? Discuss

Apologies to Andy before I start this rant. Ian It wasn't until after I'd bought the GS that I realised how many nooks and crannies there were on the bike to get into. Having previously had RTs, which seemed easy to clean in comparison, I reckon It would take an extra 1/2 hour to get the GS ...

Re: Free Maps

Thanks George, just had a look at the Austrian maps and find that there is a touring route that goes through Lech in the Arlberg. However the last time I was there it was late January and skis were more appropriate to use than Metzelers!!

I used to have my bike serviced at Coopers in Tunbridge Wells after Prestige in Bexleyheath closed down. They were always very good then and it sounds like they still are =D>

Re: Was given this to ride

Some of the reasons for Yamaha introducing the XJ6 comes down to purchase price, running costs and all inclusiveness for potential riders. The XJ6 costs around half the price of an FJR1300, £14k for the FJR and around £7k for the XJ6, therefore two bikes for the price of one. I would also expect the...

Was given this to ride

I have just returned from my annual trip to RAF Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo. I took on a new role this year and I was asked quite some months ago if I could bring my bike along. I said no at the time as I thought the insurance company would go mad if they knew what I would be doi...

Re: Embarrasing breakdown in the BlackWall Tunnel!

We made the 17:50 traffic report on BBC Radio 2 and also the BBC London website - Of course if you were affected by my breakdown then many apologies David And I though it was bad enough when I couldn't get to my fuel reserve switch quick enough in the Blackwall Tunnel on my AA Honda, but at least t...
