I used both at work, I'd order steel strip 50mmx4mm in 10 ft lengths.

Re: Motorcycle airbag jeans
Hmm, visions of you going down the road like a bouncy castle in a force 9, doing cartwheels and unable to stop. Talking of explosive devices in cars. Strictly speaking you are supposed to stop and declare your airbag before going through the Mersey tunnel and most other tunnels in the UK. They have...

Re: Battery Booster
I got this one off ebay and it works great. It started a 2lt diesel car with a fully dead battery 16 times ok, and still had 70% showing. When it packs up I'll replace with another one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/600A-82800mAh-Car-Jump-Start-Battery-Charger-Booster-Power-Pack-Engine-Starter-e/363257...

Re: Restoring an old Soviet motorcycle
Watched this one last week, he seems to have done a good job with some interesting use of chemicals for preparation and finishing. Don’t know if you could get your hands on them here, though. I've just looked online and you can get all apart from lead acid electrolyte (battery acid) but I'm sure yo...

You could use this type of sleeve. You can get it in different sizes.

Remove 3 spark plugsYou can solve the problem if you reprogramme the ecu to give less power/torque!

The highlight of the visit was the 'WINCHESTER DISK' (read hard drive) A cabinet the size of a commercial washing machine, which would or so we were proudly informed, hold 8 million bytes of data... Good thing I didn't bring up my real early Whitworth spanners. They changed the size specs in the WW2 to save metal.

One way to stop sliding on the seat is a sheepskin cover. It has to be real sheepskin not a fake one. They look funny but work great, I use a old sheepskin rug held in place with a bungy cord and the wife no longer slides forward. Plus they help to stop overheating in hot weather. https://www.sheeps...

Re: Optimate Battery and Bike Tester
At work we used clip on amp meters to measure amp charge and starting draw, like this type. You just clip them over any of the battery cables on a straight part of the cable . And a DVM to measure volts. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Durite-0-534-75-Hand-held-Clip-On-Induction-Ammeter-Current-Test-Mete...
