Re: Elm Trees

Most accidents in tree felling come from similar situations where the under tree springs up. You could tether it before tackling the pinea section at a time.

Re: Elm Trees

A beautiful mature elm has succumbed in the last year close to where I live. Big loss. In the late 70 and 80s I had a business taking down dead and dying elms. They are my favourite tree. Typically they get to about 15 years or so old then succumb.

Speedo stopped working

1200gs 55 plate, Went out on bike and after a few miles the speedo stopped working. I pulled up and discovered the connector had come off back of speedo 7nit, so I pushed back on and all ok. Today on way to MOT, speedo stopped again. This time pushed it back whilst engine running and then set off to...

Re: 2006 R1200gsa not turning over

Hi, just seen this thread. I had a similar problem with my 55 plate 1200gs. I had been for a very long and wet run. Two da6#later after a run in only light wet conditions I pulled up and stopped the engine. Came back ten mins later and it was dead. After a lot of investigation it turns out that bike...

Re: Re: Yorkshire Lunch Club Meetings - 2018 - Final List

Was a good day for it Kieth. Have been out today but by 2pm was well on way home and too hot. 100 miles in the bag to the east coast and back. Family do yesterday otherwise would have been there. Perhaps we need to say if we are coming, so that we are not alone despite a good ride.

Re: DVLA - Selling of personal data

The Freedom of Protections Act 2012 sch 4 gave them authority to sell info to parking companies registered with one of the top regulators. It is no doubt abused and to date even though fraud has been found no end of times the companies blame rogue attendants and nothing happens. It is time to sort t...

Hi Jake
If you look under my name on this post it says. Like yours says Grantham.
I had an r1100rt, Great bike, but I now have an early 1200gs, which is just brilliant.
Shout up when you get your BMW.
I thoroughly recommend Shaun who owns Regency

Re: A Winters Tale

Back in 1977 ish I remember coming home from the Ox rally in Somerset in February all the way to Retford. Snowing most of the way. We came up the M5 M42 etc and stopped at every service area to get warm. No heated grips in those days. I Road all year round back then as a bike was my only transport. ...
