Unfortunately won't be attending the meet and neither will Steve as he only got back from the antipodes today.
Hope to make the next one!

Enjoy the day.

Re: Where to buy selection buckets of metric bolts...?

I buy my nuts, bolts washers, screws etc. from the autojumbles, in my case, usually Rufforth and Newark at very
reasonable prices.

You get maybe 10 nuts or 5 bolts (depending on size) for a quid each.

Re: Tuesday 16th Scarborough

Really enjoyed the banter, weather was pretty good for mid October, excellent company as always. Nice ride there on some roads chosen by Steve that I'd never been on before and a spirited ride back with Steve and Keith. Thanks Phil, for organising this year's Yorkshire meetings, I think I made all b...

Re: Train Carriage Week

Hi all, although the take up for the event wasn't that good, it should have been! The accommodation was superb, great facilities, a very well equipped kitchen, tasteful lounge with 1st class seating, TV and radio, central heating, air extraction system, 3 bedrooms, and a bathroom with everything you...

Re: RIP Boxerman

Such sad news, Phil was a real gent, and a very astute man, you only have to look at the BM Riders Cub rules and constitution to realise that, they are tighter than a drum! If I needed any advice I could always ring Phil, I'll miss that. The last time I spoke to him was probably only a month ago and...

Re: Tank Museum 2018

Hi,
There's a Camping and Caravanning Club site at Moreton which is open to non members and has the added bonus of
a pub (that does meals) right next to the entrance!
C&CC sites are always good in my opinion.

Sorry Fellas.
I'm just a bloody wimp, even if I wasn't, I doubt the R100 would start anyway in this freezing cold weather.
Well done you brave souls who go (or try to go), hopefully see you at the April meet at Pateley Bridge!

Re: Need info on thread pitches used on my 1937 R12

Hi, Found some stainless screws, 6 x 0.85mm oval head for R12's on a site called 'Oldtimer Garage' which I think is in Europe, and they do ship to the states. They might not have the exact screws you want, however, it would confirm your suspicions that this is the thread size you require for your R1...

Takoda Camping 2016

Hi all, for those of you who attended the Takoda camping weekend in Kirkby Stephen in 2016, you will remember that campsite owner Paul Holroyd had been paralysed and his Colleague killed as they worked as highways traffic officers on the M6. I saw tonight on the news that the perpetrator, a football...

Hi Simon, Lovely looking RS, I like the colour scheme, I have the same, 1981 (82 model year) in Stratos silver. As Mike said, I have straps around my panniers, they usually have them in Aldi once or twice a year , can't remember how much but I'm sure they're under a fiver for a pair. Hope you enjoy ...

Re: Yorkshire Lunch Meetings 2017 review

I hope Peter's suggestion of dropping 'The Star' at Nafferton was only because they're not usually open on a Tuesday early on in the year, we arrived this year when they weren't open and they opened especially for four of us. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Excellent service!!!! Agre...

As you can see from the previous posts, most of the usual suspects had other commitments. I didn't realise the meet was today until yesterday when Keith rang me to say he wasn't going. Spoke to Steve last night and we decided to go, well..... it's only 6 miles away. Pleased to say that Peter Brindle...

Re: Sunday August 6th Log cabin at Fimber

Great motorcycling weather, warm and dry but not hot! Keith chose some great roads that I probably haven't ridden for 20+ years and a couple I don't think I ever have, he also has an encyclopedic knowledge of Yorkshire cafés and tearooms. To echo the other two, a great ride out in good company, Than...
