Re: Welsh Week

Yup, I really enjoyed it even if I did hold up the others! :-) A message for Nick: ....... as Mark joined us George now has a new mate (in joke for those who thought this event was just for George and his mates). :-) Looking forward to next year and still eating the cheese from our 'creamery visit'....

Re: Welsh Week

George,

Just seen your posting about a toilet each. As far as I can remember there are two in the lodge ......... that sounds like one each for Mark and myself, where are you going? :-)

Bryce

PS. I might head back on the Thursday rather than the Friday (in order to cast my vote). :-)

Re: Sammy Miller 2019

George is being modest again. Last year he informed the museum that the BM Riders Club was coming and they advertised it on their website as "BMW Club". This year the same thing happened but the museum did a bit more promotion and loads of BMW's turned up. The lady in charge welcomed George as a ret...

Re: Membership Problems......

Hi Mark,

Yes, the membership system is up and running but the form is not working so you have to send your details without the form (see the posting below).

If you have your old membership number I can process you as a renewal, otherwise it is a new member.

Maybe that is why, statistically, being a pedestrian is more dangerous than being a motorcyclist!

Hope you get well soon and back to safer pursuits on your bike.

Re: New Royal Enfielsd 650cc twin

George,

You might like V-Twins but you never buy anything new so you are not really the target audience for the new Enfield! :-)

You could always just listen to it if it sounds like a V-Twin and Blu Tack a picture of a V-Twin on the side of it! ROFL

Re: New Royal Enfielsd 650cc twin

The Euro4 Himalayan was supposed to be available in May of this year. It now looks like it is going to be December. I think they had to get their fingers out due to the implementation of BS4 in India (unexpected). They weren't able to sell any Himalayans between March and September. The BS4 variant ...

Re: New Royal Enfielsd 650cc twin

Hi, I went to the NEC show yesterday and had a sit on the Interceptor. Those who want a BIG bike will probably be a bit disappointed. It looked physically about the same size as the Bullets and that is what if felt like as well. It might be marginally bigger but not very big. This is probably borne ...

Re: Airhead plus heated vest ...

I bought a Keis heated waistcoat about a year ago. I bought the separate battery (the large one) so I didn't have to plug into the bike electrics. I have been really pleased with it but .................. I have only used it on about four occasions on the bike and at least 30 occasions at other time...

If you don't get your bike back (which one?) you will have to select another one from your fleet. :-)

Re: K100 Petrol Tank and Hose Queries

Brilliant, I am on my way again.

The manual mentioned air filter but wasn't very clear on what it looked like and where it was.

Now that you have told me that there are clips on the other side of the bike I am sure I will be able to move forward.

Thank you.

Excellent, thanks for that information, I will have a look for that liitle rubber cup tomorrow.

Any idea what the big black box is and how to remove it?

Thanks again.

K100 Petrol Tank and Hose Queries

Hi Everyone, The fuel hose on my K100 has sprung a leak so I decided to replace it. The damaged hose disappears underneath the petrol tank and reappears (I think) at the rearmost end of the fuel rail. I have removed the petrol tank to try and reveal the whole run of the hose so that I can remove and...

George,

What are you asking me?

Yes, I think we should have a guide...............then you can fill in the missing information like you did with the last guide we had at Cosford! ROFL

I like being guided and my wife tells me I am not allowed out without supervision.

Re: South Lancs Lunch meetings

George, I agree with Marty. Winfields is a good location and seems to be convenient for those who turn up regularly, even those of us who live in the wilds of southernmost Cheshire!! Things to look at (the bike museum section), a good brunch and good regular company...................a winning combi...

George, I like the look of that Radnor Revivals place. The lodges look really good value and the location looks really good for ride outs and things to do. I imagine you might have to commit early though? Combining one or more Yorkshire/Lancs meetings sounds good. Perhaps twice a year or whatever? P...

It may be worth mentioning that about 5 miles from Hooton Park there is the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet: http://www.mcarthurglen.com/uk/cheshire-oaks-designer-outlet/en/ and also the Cheshire Oaks Travelodge. So, if anybody wants to 'Shop Until They Drop' (or knows someone else who would like to) ...
