[solved] Problem with light K1300GT import

Postby trumftager » Fri Aug 28, 2020 10:38 am

Hello everyone, I have just registered because I have a problem with my bike.
Following the difficulties in adjusting the front light of my new K1300GT and looking for the characteristics of this motorbike (with VIN), I have just discovered that the motorbike is a UK import and that the front light is therefore not suitable for traffic in France. It is a Xenon BMW 63127720119 (or 63127701742), (LV / RHD) in very good condition, no damaged or broken mounting brackets.
So I'm looking for a Xenon light, compatible for France ref BMW: 63127701740, in a comparable condition, for exchange.
Contact by email and exchange of photos (good definition) to refine the details.

Note: If this request was not acceptable on this forum or not in the right section, please let me know.

Have you thought of contacting Motorworks or James Sherlock ? For a "Deal" of some sort

Ebay.de is good for that sort of thing too

Islandmagee in case you're interested?

Thank you for your interest. No, I haven't thought about these suppliers but I will. For Ebay.de it is more complicated because this site is sales oriented but not exchange oriented.

Advertise as wanting a European Spec for your UK spec headlamp @99p and all they get is a Self tapper if they buy it now :D

OR just fit a Beam Bender ???

Sorry Jaythro but I don't understand your last two remarks (my English translation is not very clear.). #-o

Thank you both. While waiting to find something better, I adjusted my front light so as not to dazzle and installed additional lights.

I solved my pb by replacing the "English" light with a "European" light. By any chance, I put my old xenon light for sale on this site. Thank you again for your indications.
