K75 ABS removed, does it cause speedo problems?

Postby Quzzy » Fri Jun 01, 2018 9:59 am

Hi, Im doing some work on a K75 that has had the ABS bypassed, brakes work well, no problem.
However the speedo sensor on the rear drive has had the wires snipped...is this because the speedo relies on the ABS or just coincidence?
Thanks

hi
i dont know but believe you should not need the sensor cables to be snipped to remove the abs on a K75

Thanks George, the question was badly worded....if I buy a new sensor(the wires are not even showing) and reconnect it, should the speedo then work? Or does messing with the ABS cause trouble. This is obviously the older model with a seperate sensor, the speedo signal is not from the ABS rotors.

On a K75 the speedo sensor is only a speedo sensor and have no connection to the ABS system.....that was on later models.
