BIke width (R1150RT)

Postby Dode4444 » Mon Jul 20, 2020 8:51 pm

Hi all, planning on going a camping trip with the bike and the tent I’d like to take has a pack size of 88cm x 18cm. (QUEEDO MAPLE 4 man)

Could anyone tell me the width of the bike roughly with panniers?
Don’t want the tent sticking out miles.

Reason I can’t do it myself is I’m stuck in the middle of the North Sea for the next 2 weeks still

Thank you in advance.

Hi
NO, but Airhead experience tells me that tents are seldom bigger than panniers. My 4 man is easily inside the pannier, bar, jug widths

I sort of thought this but as this is slightly wider due to being a quick pitch tent id thought I’d ask.

Hi, the width across my R1100RT is approximately 96 cm's or 38 inches.

That’s perfect. I’m sure they 1150rt will be very similar if not identical.
Thank you very much
