R1100S Footrest Lowering Kit

Postby Dlb1955 » Wed Jun 09, 2021 7:20 pm

Hi
I have just bought a 2000 1100S , I am 6' 2" and think a footrest lowering kit might help my old knee joints .
Can anyone suggest the best place to source such a kit for UK use .

Thanks
Dave

George and others , here goes i am 66 in a few weeks time I have continuously owned bikes since the age of 12 when I started riding over the fields on a BSA.I have been here before having owned a number of BMW 's over the years.
I bought my first a K100 RS in 1991 and over the years I have owned a couple of r100 Gs's and a r80/7 ( STILL HAVE IT BURIED IN THE SHED ) anyway I decided to have a last fling and bought something a little more modern so I have bought the R1100 's .
I do have a Norton Commando Fastback and a BSA Goldflash outfit ( both owned for many years ).
I am located in the North West of England and many moons ago I used to attend the BM club meets in Hale Barnes.

Hi
great history. 66 is young around here, Is the 80/7 planned for your retirement bike?

Where in the NW are you? Like me, trapped in the high incidence of cv19? Put your location in your profile and you should get local info and invites.

Or able to play out sometime?

Thanks Motorworks do a 50 MM one which might be too low , the consensus is 30MM might be best.
If I can't find anything may have to go for the 50MM one .
