Now sorted, I did consider Nippy's once again, as there is a large empty space where the abs used to be, but then I looked for the multi-plug again, and there it was, hidden under some insulating tape and so I connected it there. As I don't leave the Satnav on the bike all the time, I don't have any problems with the permanent live feed!

Happy bunny once again.

I don't know if this will help but I made a simple mount for my r1200rt last month from 2x4" pre drilled steel shelf brackets 50p each and a length of 22mm copper pipe. I cut the right angled brackets to length and bolted them to the pipe. I then removed the two self tappers from the plastics below the windscreen and screwed the brackets to the plastics. Sprayed them matt black and I put my tomtom sat nav and gopro mounts unto the pipe. Took about 10 minutes to make and cost less than a fiver.
