Dual output ignition coil.

Postby philwthomas » Sun Jun 24, 2018 3:24 pm

I recently had an ignition coil failure on my 1988 100rs which I replaced with a second hand unit from Motorworks at about £70. Since then I have discovered a Lucas replacement coil (BMW/Hinkley Triumph WW19381) Lucas Part No L365100 new for about £35 on ebay. Hole spacing is the same as the original although a significant spacer has to be manufactured.
The terminations for the HT leads are non standard but can be purchased fro Rex's Speed Shop.

Mine is now working fine...increased reliability for peace of mind, hopefully.
Regards to all
