Ouch!

...that explains the slight speed wobble I’ve been having :)

I tried whacking it back into shape with a rubber mallet, but it split. S/h replacement on its way.

I have had snowflake wheels in my garage for over 10 years in case of such an event, then sold that bike.I tried to sell them several times for next to nothing.in the end I took them (wait for it) to the scrap yard about 2 months ago. I was totally fed up with doing this but needed the space.
Now that is not what you wish to hear. Normally that sort of thing happens to me.When I was at college in about 1493 I was to share a room with a mate who had a Triumph. When we arrived the landlady said “So you like bikes then?”
oh yes we said ,anything oldish with an engine.
That’s a pity she said, My late husband used to race Aston Martins and I have just given away all his old stuff. She did give me a metal tin of BP oil of old vintage which I still have. We wondered what might have been.....

You’re right, that wasn’t what I wanted to hear :) I’ve just given the good folks at Motorworks £120 for a second hand one. They’re £700 new I’m told.

Don't think they are still available new (at least the front isn't).

Ouch... I feel the pain from here...

Probably a good job you didn't manage to whack it straight, it would have been very weak. It is possible to straighten cast wheels (note I didn't say advisable...) but it's a specialist job with quite a bit (but not too much) heat required. I know it hurts but your £120.00 was probably well spent...

Hi
the wheels may still be in John's scrap yard-- worth a look?

Not likely knowing the chaps that run it.But when I am over that way I will attempt to ask.I say attempt because when I dropped them off the chap in the office never actually stopped eating a pie the whole time he was telling me where to put them.Well I believe that was what he was saying.

That’s kind of you John but it’s a done deal now for me, so please don’t do so on my account.
