front forks

Postby neilg » Wed Jan 02, 2019 9:40 pm

hi, I bought a f800gt new (2018) I like the bike but the front suspension , which is good on most roads cannot cope through the twisties. can anybody recommend any improvement . I have seen different springs but only up to 2016, is there any difference between 2016/2018 bikes as far as forks are concerned , I would be glad of any help. neilg

No disrespect to the guys on here, as this is the best Airhead and Oilhead forum in the WORLD!

Regarding the 800, also take a look at:
Best roads: 623 Burgos to Santander. A back road to Metz; can't remember which!
Schorsch - 1978-80 R65 - Has gone. No, not talking about it.
Max - 2009 F800GS- where’s the desert at!?
Too many bikes have come and gone, trying to be sensible now!

I’ve fitted the hyperpro progressive springs to my GS and they are an improvement especially losing the dive.
