F700GS front fork upgrade options

Postby hmassmann » Wed May 09, 2018 12:38 pm

Hi guys,

I'm looking at improving my front forks' performance. Not sure if something like Wilber progressive springs will do the trick. Not really sure what other options are out there.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Reducing the oil air gap will give you a progressive action at little cost- the so called progressive windings an a Wirth spring will sag out solid PDQ and you will have a short stiff spring.
A decent shock can usually make a big difference at the front too, if you have the ability to fine tune the front to suit - adjustable fork caps are a big help here if you bike does nor already have them.
Top quality Synth suspension fluid can also make a noticable difference, Ohlins, Maxima Belray sell it, dirt bike shops usually stock it.
