ST Screen

Is there a screen that works for the above? My recently acquired ST has the taller screen and the amount of buffeting is totally unacceptable to me. I am 5 feet 10 inches tall. Yesterday I removed it and is 100% better. I get the feeling it would have to be a very large thing to work. Any body else with the same problem? John

The only thing I can say about removing it John, is yes, no buffeting But, it turns your bike into a naked bike and you will find it tiring if you maintain high speed for a long time. It puts more stress on your arms.

Re choosing a screen........ can open, worms everywhere!!!

It depends on you, your helmet, your jacket, your snood!!!! Choosing the right screen is a pain in the bum at times.

Depending on the bike, I have found below very good, but only you can tell.

Looks interesting. Have you actual experience using one? I was finding even at 30mph the tall screen was pushing so much wind onto my helmet and rattling my visor. I'm no speed merchant 60mph is fast enough for me. I have been spoiled with a K1100LT brilliant screen and fairing.

I have experienced it on my old Transalp and it helped, but I daren't recommend as it might feel different on a different bike.

Yes its the same with helmets. You don't know what there like until you have paid yer money then its too late.

Well I cobbled up a piece of perspex and a clamp which added 3 inches to the height of the screen and the difference was considerable. The buffeting at 70 has just about gone. Plenty of wind noise but I can live with that. So will either make something a bit more presentable or put my hand in my pocket and buy a ready made one. John
