Beautiful sunny day here in the Midlands, so I went for a ride.... and ten minutes later stopped to put my warmer gloves on out of my side bag. Probably below 5c for a guess.

Half an hour later it had started snowing. :pale:

Its sunny again now, but still freezing cold.

South coast, superb sunshine. Just taken Ari out for a great ride.... can’t feel my chin! Says it’s 7, feeling like 4... felt like zero. Great ride though.

April 4th 1963 we had six inches of snow.

My birthday so I tend to remember when we have snow on my birthday and it is not that many in the last 66 years. :)
Now if only I could persuade the government to give me my pension I would be happy but sadly it aint looking too good right now.

But you're 58 not 66.

Hi
I know he cant count, but if he was born that day he would not remember the weather

6 inches nothing out there, in winter I've seen snow so deep it was up past the lower window sills of buses

That is excellent, love it. :)

You should time lapse it into a video.

Not strictly 'livestock', they are wild red deer. The estate often has sheep in that field and to watch their movements in time lapse is interesting. One would expect the movements to be fairly random but they seems to develop some quite complex and quite transient patterns.

Ah, I was undecided if they were sheep or not but I think one jumped over the fence. I never considered deer but could not make sheep or cows fit. :)

I decided to make one the same so have the camera set up as we speak taking one pic per minute. :)
Watch this space. :)

I often post time lapse videos on a local facebook page from this camera. I find one frame each 10 seconds to be a good rate in general for cloud movement and other 'scenery' changes to keep some semblance of smoothness in the resulting footage. In the case above, I used one frame every 50 seconds so that the resulting video isn't too long...

My camera will not natively do more than 1 per minute so I would have to write a script and really cannot be that enthused. :)

Pretty boring so far. I shall leave it running and hope for some interesting goings on. Not even caught a train and they run every 20 minutes or so, even the eleven o'clock goods train came between minutes. Most interesting thing it caught all day was next door hanging their washing out.:)

In the words of Spongebob:

Some time later (24 hours) and I have made a time lapse video that on the boredom scale sits somewhere just above Coronation Street and below Emmerdale.

Back to the drawing board.
