An interesting film of time gone by

......of people, things and customs which once were....

I find these old films fascinating for what is not immediately noticeable such as the writing on notices, billboards and shop windows which reveals the daily concerns of a live community.

Also what people, bicycles, carriages and carts are carrying; are they working or at leisure, are they in a hurry or calmly going about their business, how are they dressed, do they look healthy, is there an apparent social order, what is the ratio of males to females to children, how do people interact with each other, is there sign of industry/manufacturing, what shops are there, how clean is the street?

What was good then that is not good now..... no potholes?
