Greetings from West Yorkshire

Postby YKralph » Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:13 pm

Hi, my name's Ralph; age 64, moved to Yorkshire from West London more than 20 years ago, so I'm no longer considered a Blow-in. Never had a BMW bike: Honda 125, Triumph Bonneville, Yamaha SR500. I've signed up here to look for some help with my Citroen 2CV... specifically with the R850 engine I've had put in it. So, off to see which Forum to post in.

Hi Ralph
welcome, sounds like a good upgrade. Are you using the 2CV gearbox?

You must be in a city then

R850s are called Oilheads so post there to get the best answers.

Hi George, thanks for the welcome: I have indeed posted my query in Oilheads; fingers crossed.
Yes, the conversion (by sparrowautomotive.co.uk) keeps the 2CV gearbox... with standard wheels & tyres and diff. it will, in theory, do 100mph - quite enough in that flimsy body!
Best Wishes from Keighley
Ralph
