Hi
Thought i would introduce me and my bike, this is my R1100RT 1997, it has been stood for about two years outside, and has suffere, but I did managed to get it for a good price. It need quite a bit of work although the engines ok after a recomisson. Its the meatal work which is rusty the frame parts and the chrome work. The worst parts are the wheels the spokes are totally shot rusted away.
Now looking at the price for respoking or just buying a set of alloys for it. Does anyone know if they are a staright swap will my discs, spindle and speedo etc.. work with alloys.

Welcome to the forum from Gtr Manchester.

For confirmation of whether the spindles etc would fit, It would be worthwhile to check out https://www.realoem.com and compare the appropriate part numbers for spoked and cast wheels

Enjoy the RT, they are surprisingly agile for their weight and can ,in the right hands, surprise a few riders in the twisties

Enjoy and Ride safe when you get the issues resolved

Welcome from Lancashire. I think cast wheels could be obtained. Have a look on Motorworks site to see what is available.
