Hello from Sunny Dubai

Postby slingshot » Sun May 13, 2018 10:01 am

Good Day All,
My name is Manjeet and I currently reside in Dubai. I am a die hard fan of vintage English bikes and Harley Davidsons. However, the vintage BMW's were always something that caught my attention. I guess this is because as a kid growing up in Bombay, I was fascinated by this old boxer engine BMW that was owned by an elderly gentleman. After all these years, I have managed to acquire a R51/3. The bike was imported from Greece to Abu Dhabi by the previous owner. I am looking forward to interacting with all of you and learning more about my new bike so I can fix a few issues that it has. BTW, last night I bought a Stoye Sidecar to marry with the bike once its up and running. The sidecar did not come with any fittings so need to do some research on that now.

Ride Safe,
Manjeet

Welcome to the forum! Very nice looking bike, Manjeet. Did you find the sidecar in Dubai, too?

To find not only the bike but a suitable sidecar too is very lucky indeed. Looking forward to seeing some photos when it's all together.
