New Member _1st BMW

Postby russ1150 » Sat May 26, 2018 8:48 pm

Hi I'm a new member, My name is Russ and I live on the We(s)t Coast of Scotland.

I'm collecting my first BMW - an R1150RS on Monday,
Its my first BMW, after a long string of Jap bikes most recently a NT650V Deauville (which is for sale if anyones looking for one)
I've had that a year and its great for touring if a little high feeling for me (I've only got short legs) so looking forward to the adjustable seat and lower slung engine layout of the boxers. Not a mention a bit more performance the new bike is only a few kg more and quite a bit more torque.
I've also had in recent years a ZZr600 and a couple of GT's in both 750 and 550 sizes.

Cheers, Russ :)

Thanks folks, it has actually been a lovely spell of weather of late , had a lovely ride back from collecting the bike down in Yorkshire and riding back up the road - its very pleasant .

Better than expected for the price and quite clean, full service and replacement of fork seals is first priority.

Seals can get dirty and leak.

Before replacing fork seals, try this - works for me:
