Hmm, eurocarparts, the worst company on the net for selling stuff that they aint got, selling stuff that is wrong and being absolute T**Ts about taking it back.

I will pass on that one. :)

I have to say I would never use anything other than a Mahle or OEM (which is the same thing) Oil filter on a boxer. Far too many reports of collapsed filters and blocked systems with non OEM ones. I'm not normally against aftermarket parts per se but, in the case of Oil filters I make an exception.

100% with Rob

For the sake of a couple of pounds why risk a £1000 rebuild ??

Mahle Knecht or BMW, All made in same factory!

I am sure Phil would be right with us there with those brand names!

They don't actually have any in stock anyway so you could not buy them if you wanted to.

I sell things really cheap when I have none. It gets people to your website putting stuff like that on it and once people are there then who knows what else they may 'need'.

That may turn out to be a two edged sword... I know that, if I go to a web site that has advertised something at a cheap rate, only to find that it is 'out of stock' , that seller is immediately on the list of places I don't go back to.

My old company had a account with them for forklift batteries. Every time I went there it was a joke.

Also this should be in the airhead section.

I bought a connector from them that consisted of two crocodile clips, one red and one black the other end was a cigarette lighter socket; I connected the crocodile clips to a car battery and plugged my 12 volt to 240 volt inverter into the socket and bang!!! The connector had been wired in reverse and contained no fuse ..... where they sorry ???

This was their reply

Thank you for contacting Customer Services,

We do not cover any consequential losses unfortunately and so would not cover the costs of this

This could be a long thread. :)

I don't think that legally they have a leg to stand on as far as guarantee and their responsibility goes.
