Tragic news. Thoughts and prayers to Pete and family. I hope things go well from here on for them. How quick life can deal a tragic hand.

I suppose no news is good news, but I have been wondering how Sofa is getting on. Anyone heard?

I've had no real update but have heard on the grapevine that there is improvement and that he is now conscious.

Hi
Yes we should, I could get one and take it to Ledbury for people to sign which is where I last saw him

Geoge
It would be better if we could have a 'card' on here whereby people could add their name and good wishes. The 'card' might then be printed off and given to Sofa.

Not sure if this is technically possible on the site though?

Well it has taken long enough to get on line so an update is probably needed. Currently lying in bed in trauma ward Walsgrave hospital Coventry minus most of my left leg. Three weeks in induced coma, two cardiac arrests, liver failier, kidney failier and above the knee amputation have resulted in some weight loss, muscle wastage and eight weeks without a poo [resolved today gee what a mess].
Loads of physio ahead, doubt I will ride solo bikes again but already own one outfit and am already planning mods for it although may well pool all bike monies and have a sidecar outfit built to my spec. Going to be here many weeks so pop in. My sense of humour is very much undamaged. Pete Crane

Thanks for taking the time to update us, sounds like you are still very much you in spite of your body taking such a hammering! Also good you are planning a way forward in the middle of such life changing circumstances. Please keep us posted on your progress, I know there will be a lot more along to say welcome back as they wake up today! All the best Peter.

Well, Pete, even though I have never met you I admire your courage and drive and I wish you well. If I have some time and the inclination for a ride out I might well come and have a chat.

Rae
