Ladybower Inn Wed 12th March

Postby raesewell » Sun Mar 09, 2014 6:57 pm

We will be meeting at the Ladybower Inn on the A57 this Wednesday at 12.00 noon.
What a difference four weeks makes the February meeting was cancelled due to sleet and ice and today I was out with my IAM's observer and the temperature was 17.5 degrees C.
What a country we live in.
There were 3 ambulances at Squires today, does anyone know what happened?
I have checked BBC local news and have been unable to find out.

three bikes and a car involved. usual thing as soon as the sun comes out so do the idiots!!! One killed yesterday on snake pass A57 near glossop. I found the roads over the strines which were stiill wet, slippy and covered in mud gravel etc.

Great day out though had lunch at the snake pass inn. fabulous chips!!!

I had a fabulous ride out yesterday to the BMW Club Midland Section Bring & Buy at Barnsdale Gardens. I recorded 18.5 degrees on the only completly dry ride I've had on the bike. Excellent turnout with some interesting machinery. Same old stuff for sale but some people picked up bargains/wanted struff.
Looking forward to Wednesday, hope the forecast is right

Looks like there were a few of us out yesterday.
I ended up in Scarborough via a very convoluted route.
Great day out, and great fish & chips.

And a good time was had by all, Dave (Twisty), Eric (Tigcraft), George (Redbaron) and myself were in attendance.
I am very pleased with the turnout for a first meeting.
The weather was warm and sunnny, food was good and the company excellent
what more can you ask for
