Membership Problems......

Postby boxerman » Tue Mar 13, 2007 11:52 pm

Since the introduction of on-line payment via PayPay, Credit or Debit card there has been a little confusion over joining/renewing on-line with a number of folk submitting the Membership Application but not paying or making the payment but not applying for Membership.

With the current facilites that we have, we have no way to integrate the payment within the Membership Application so joining is a two stage proccess - if paying on-line, you must make the payment via PayPal using either your PayPal Account, your Credit or Debit Card. You must then return to the website and then complete and submit the Application Form. Unless you take BOTH steps, you have not joined - if it doesn't say Club Member under your name on the Forum then you are not a member...

Instructions are as clear as I can make them but it's clear that some are not reading them.....

You should have been sent a membership card? It will have your number on.

If not you can contact Doug as the membership secretary.

Or PM me your real name as only get your updates and membership via paypal with your real name on.

Ian and Andy thanks,

I recieved the membership card and the regalia.
The small sticker was the same size as the H&B logo on my top box.
Still need to place the big ones on my Alu boxes.

For Koos now I have the stickers we can make an appointment for a cup of coffee and a photo.

You're not shown as a member - if you are then you need to have a word with the membership secretary.

I see you've only joined the forum today - did you join the club without accessing the forum?

Hi
the membership secretary is away atm, but since you are marked are a "forum member" I suspect not.

If you enjoy the ezine, want to come to events etc then Why not join?

Where are you based? If you put your location in your profile the it will encourage local member to let you know a bout local benefits.

I made the rookie error of paying by PayPal in a rush, then was sent an email saying I needed to fill in the application form. Duly done and submitted, obviously without a membership number. No evidence that I am a full member yet.

Hi,

The form part of the site has had problems for about a year (ie. it doesn't work). Just under the Paypal section it says the following.

Automatic Booking Forms are currently inoperative so please send an email to HERE and ensure you include ALL of the following information:

Full Name & Address

Email Address

D.O.B.

Phone Number (including Codes)

Club Membership Number

Current Forum Username

Membership Type (Renewal, New Member etc)

Amount Paid

(When you click on the word HERE as described above it takes you to an email page where you can enter the requested information.)

Hi Guys ,

I just wanted to check the membership system is up and running at the moment as I would like to join up.

Also I used to be a member but am not currently one so is it a renewal or new membership ?

Thanks,

Mark

Also I should mention to anyone else considering joining that if they join any time after tomorrow the will get up to two months extra free membership as a bonus.

Hi Mark,

Yes, the membership system is up and running but the form is not working so you have to send your details without the form (see the posting below).

If you have your old membership number I can process you as a renewal, otherwise it is a new member.

I'm looking at it George, I tried to ask some questions about it but I couldn't post because I wasn't a member, I'll post the questions about it in the Welsh week thread when my membership has been enabled.
