Hi
there is still time for a couple of people to join us and stop in a bed, in fact we still have the single event temporary membership scheme if you are not paid up

We would also be pleased to see people pop up just for a day's ride out

Indeed it was a good event at a great venue that is walking distance from the Pub Restaurant, I can recommend the facilities.

Hi
yep, great for me apart from falling over, thanks to Nick for organising it.

I would go again, anyone else up for it in 2019?

Hi all,

although the take up for the event wasn't that good, it should have been!

The accommodation was superb, great facilities, a very well equipped kitchen, tasteful lounge with 1st class seating,
TV and radio, central heating, air extraction system, 3 bedrooms, and a bathroom with everything you needed.

Saltburn hill climb on the Sunday, after George's misdemeanour we mainly used public transport for the rest of the week as he couldn't ride.
Monday, we went to Scarborough on the bus, PK visited Tuesday for a what was really a committee meeting as we had a lot to discuss
following Phil's passing.
Wednesday was Pickering by bus and the North Yorkshire Moors railway to Whitby by steam!
Thursday was a bit of a rest day, only going out for a short ride to see if George had a fighting chance of getting back OK on his bike.

It suited all of us to go home a day early on the Friday as we all had things to do.

Thanks to Ruralman and PK for visiting us during the week and to Bryce and George for their good company and lots of laughs.
Nick.

Hi
the Events timetable for 2019 is mostly still open.

May dates booked, details to follow sometime, so when is a good time for the Train?

BTW, hospital again on Friday and it looks like I will never be able to start a lawnmower again

George,

I'm sorry to hear of your injury.

Hopefully the hospital will be able to do something about it.

Hi thanks Ced
it seems it is all muscle and ligament damage. The plan is 2 weeks mobility physio followed by some strength training exercises for a month or so

The problem is that it was nothing I did wrong, so I could not blame myself

I have been told I still have to start her lawnmowers, Injury is no excuse for not doing so. It has got me out of chainsawing logs until the hospital sign me off as fit.
