Was looking forward to the first meeting and it looks like the weather will be good however I've decided against it. Can't give a sound medical or scientific reason for this because I don't think there is one apart from the obvious which is I don't fancy catching the blighter just yet . Might be worth checking that the venue is open for business before setting out?

I'm also now going to give this a miss - shame as I was really looking forward to the ride and chat.

Well, I decided to go.
The cafe and shop were open, but a bit quieter than before.
We perhaps need a discussion before next month's meeting.

I think that we’re all adults and therefore can assess the risks and make the right decision for ourselves....

Not what I meant Keith.

My thoughts on a discussion, is whether we continue with the planned 2020 meets, as a club,
Or :- officially suspend meetings until there is a change in the risk, and the advice from HMG.

Hi Phil,
We should keep the planned events open until there’s a total lockdown, but members can make their own risk assessment prior to setting off or not to each event....
I plan to run the Northern Meets until we’re in a total lockdown situation....

Most motorcycling groups in my area are either cancelling until further notice or using common sense and social distancing until otherwise advised.
Watching what is happening though? common sense appears very uncommon!!!!!

Phil happy to meet up if we are allowed and available. Holiday plans now in abeyance we were planning to travel from mid May for several weeks.

Hi Phil & all,

Obviously things have now changed and the recommendations are that we do indeed postpone our Club Events until further notice...
Let’s hope that we all survive the enforced isolation...
See you all when we’re allowed to play again...
