Postby P-K » Wed Jul 21, 2021 5:14 pm

OK chaps,

Here are the second 3 months from August, to see how things progress.
I am still going for venues with plenty of outdoor seating, until we are all comfortable with indoors again.

3rd Tuesday from August 2021 dates

August 17th, the Cover Bridge Inn, Coverdale
September 21st the Fiddle Drill cafe, Goodmanham
October 19th, Beadlam Farm shop and cafe, nr Helmsley

As usual, I will put up a post 7 to 10 days before each meet, with precise location, and other stuff.
Hope to see some of you in August.

Thanks for those P-K, if I've not got either bike on the road next month, I'll just walk to the Cover Bridge; an interesting question as to which'd be the quicker, walking, or getting the bike out/gear on and riding down there. :-k

Phil

One of the bits of information on the website is that they may not be open on a Tuesday. Probably best to call them:

Main St, Goodmanham
YO43 3JA Market Weighton
07598 512478

If they don't open weekdays until Wednesday could our meeting day be changed?

UPDATE
The September meet was scheduled for the Fiddle Drill cafe, Goodmanham.
Their website hasn't been updated in a while, and says it is shut on Tuesdays.
I have tried to ring but get no answer.

So, with regret, I am changing the September 21st meeting to Roots farm shop and cafe, near Northallerton
http://www.rootsfarmshop.co.uk/
Full Address :- Home Farm, East Rounton, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL6 2LE

Meet from 12:00 noon onwards.

Lovely ride out into the edge of the North Yorks Moors today.
Great meet up with Peter Brindle,
Keith Horsefield (And Anita) and Rich (Milfoilman) .
Here's a pic of the new outside marquee at Roots farm shop and cafe.

Hi all,
By the time I got home last week I had clocked up 185 miles. Except for a little detour into the North York Moors on the way home it was mainly Motorway or dual carriageway. Had I gone south from home instead of north I would have arrived at London!
Will be looking at B&B in future for rides "up north" so we can stay in the area and see the sights.
We will not be at the October meet as Ann has a routine eye hospital appointment that means she will not be able to drive for 12 hours after. As far as we know no problem, just something that was flagged up by Specsavers at her last checkup.
Anyway see you all next year have a good meet in October, Christmas and New Year. Good luck in finding petrol and stay safe.
Rich.

Hi
I have stopped out a couple of times for the more distant events & picked a Travelodge cos you know what you are going to get.

Motorway miles are not fun, just a means to an end. I've reached the stage of life where I prefer to just bimble about.
