I have been to Honfleur many times and have seen the old harbour before. I will be heading to the Chocolatier for some sheep do do for the Grandchildren . I may also visit the superb icecream shop.

In Honfleur today, here are a selection of bikes just laying around the streets.

We are off to Dieppe in the morning to get the ferry back to the UK and that means traffic and lots of it >:(

That's a nice old Gold Wing!

Glad you seem to be getting some decent weather.

Check your bike for any stowaways before getting on the ferry!

Safe journey home.

We are on the ferry and will soon be homeward bound. The Dieppe ferry has front wheel chocks for bikes so a nice easy system.
Her is a photo of the few bikes that were on the ferry.

Hi Rae,

Make sure the front wheel chock is actually fixed to the deck. Last year my bike was damaged on the Channel Islands ferry due to the check not being secure.

It was definitely fixed to the deck and it was ratchet strapped as well. I also leave it in gear and velcro the front brake lever. Which goes to prove I am a belt, braces and string man

Mine was ratchet strapped over the seat and also on the centre stand. The problems arose when trying to remove the bike from the front wheel chock, because it wasn't fixed it rode up and smacked in to the front mudguard, bending and stressing it in the process. They paid up promptly in full though.

Looks like you had another good holiday!

Know the feeling, we were away two weeks ago. A quick trip to Germany to ride the Romanitic Road, 2000 miles in the 8 days we had available in blistering sunshine and heat!
